It would be great to have a place to send names that we bought with the intention to gift. I can't give Grand Seiko their name because the CEO won't respond to my gift offer. In the future, they won't know who to contact if they want their name and I won't know it is the right person if they make an offer.
If @AdamSandler
searches for AdamSandler/ (not one of mine), all he is going to see is that the name is taken. He isn't going to know to make an offer, search for a spreadsheet or list. I would love to send a name to a depository where it should have a "Reserved" page and instructions for the correct person to claim their name.

This is a BAD idea! This will signal to the world that Handshake users are cyber-squatters.
Do NOT register names that others have trademark rights to. This used to be a popular technique when domain names first came out but was quickly killed. Trademark owners are not interested in legitimizing your offer with a response. Your "Gift offer "will be met skepticism, a cease and desist and/or a law suit. If you have already registered some of these names, abandon them.

Also, maybe there could be some kind of incentive for people to increase their giving. People holding names for ransom is bad for everyone including the entire HNS project.
